What state (if any) is caused by loss of function in the alpha cells of pancreatic islets?

Since the loss function in pancreatic beta cells causes type 1 diabetes, I was wondering if anyone has found that loss of function in alpha cells? If so, what is your state?

Alpha pancreatic islet cell production of glucagon. Glucagon opposite effect of insulin. Insulin (a set of beta islet cells of the product), induces the liver to remove blood glucose allows the body to store glucose as glycogen in the liver. Glucagon induces liver glycogen catabolises for elongated molecules decomposed into its constituent parts sugar and glucose in the blood as glucose. The cells absorb and use glucose for energy (whole body). Glucagon can cause hypoglycemia, but could if hyperglycemia exceeds the amount glucagon glucose thus produced. (Glucagon is used to treat an overdose of insulin. (Severe hypoglycemia) which can lead to coma and death.). Or in the case light. The loss of function such as alpha islet cells can cause glycogen storage disease. (Von Gierke's Disease). We expect straightens out the confusion biochemistry. Dan Doc.
