The key is and building muscle strength is progressive overload. Strength training is one of the oldest disciplines dating back thousands of years, and by trial and error, humans learned that the best training for strength and muscle size is progressively overloading the muscles, allowing them to adapt to physical stress increased, and force them to grow.
